Deep groove ball bearing lubrication is implemented during planned equipment downtime and replenished periodically, while old grease is removed or squeezed out through drain holes. The grease nipple should be wiped clean before adding fresh grease. If the bearing housing of the deep groove ball bearing does not have a grease nipple, the bearing housing cover or end cover should be opened to remove the old grease. After cleaning, add fresh grease of the same type.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the bearing, we need to regularly check the oil level and oil quality of the lubricating oil. Under normal circumstances, the normal oil level should be within the range of 1/3-2/3 of the equipment oil level window or marked. The oil replenishment method is the oil cup, and the oil level displayed only represents the oil replenishment capacity, while the oil level of the bearing box meets the operating requirements. The oil level in the oil cup is lower than 1/4 of its total volume, and oil replenishment can be considered.
The method of checking and replenishing oil is to take a small amount of lubricating oil as a sample and compare it with fresh lubricating oil. A competent unit may consider conducting an oil quality test to ensure that the oil quality is qualified. If the sample looks cloudy, it may be the result of mixing with water, which is often referred to as oil emulsification, and the lubricating oil should be changed at this time. If the sample range darkens in color or thickens, it may indicate that the oil has begun to carbonize and the old oil should be completely replaced. If possible, flush the oil circuit with fresh lubricating oil. When replacing the lubricating oil, it should be ensured that the new and old types of lubricating oil replaced are the same, and supplemented to meet the required oil level.
Use an oil-bath lubrication system. If the oil temperature is below 60°C (140°F) and the oil is not contaminated, it is sufficient to change the oil once a year. If the oil temperature is 60-100°C (140-210°F), the oil needs to be changed four times a year. If the oil temperature is 100-120°C (210-250°F), the lubricating oil needs to be changed once a month. If the oil temperature is above 120°C (250°F), the oil needs to be changed once a week.
